Deodar Cedar

Cedrus deodara, or the Deodar cedar is a flat-top evergreen conifer with broad, drooping branching that is native to the Himalayas. These trees grow 40 to 50 feet in their first 25 years, but continue growing and can reach up to 200 feet tall. They are best grown in deep, moist, acidic loam soils in full sun. They are drought-tolerant but not tolerant of wet, poorly drained soils.
