Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) Fountain

ODK Fountain

Stretching out across the McKeldin Mall is the ODK Fountain, which has been a part of the University’s outdoor art collection since 1991. Sigma Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), which is a National Society working to produce leaders, provided the fountain to the campus with the help of past members of The Sigma Circle of ODK in April 1997.

The fountain, which is made of granite materials, includes the names of all the members who have been a part of the Sigma Circle since it first began in 1927. There are five layers that make up the fountain, each representing a different aspect of what is important to those who are a part of ODK. This includes scholarship, athletics, components related to service, different forms of communication, and the arts. These features are what makes the fountain so important and well known to the campus community. Because of its aesthetic value, it honors Sigma Circle of ODK members, and offers the characteristics important to its members.
