Get Involved

There are many ways to support our campus arboretum. We regularly rely on volunteer groups and individuals to care for our pollinator habitat, campus food gardens, enhanced landscapes, rain gardens, and reforestation projects.

We offer internship for credit and partner with academic departments to provide a rich learning experience for students, both graduate and undergraduate.

By donating to the arboretum, you are helping to cultivate our living campus, whether that is through sponsoring a dedicated tree or internship or by sustaining landscape maintenance and enabling ongoing enhancement of diverse plantings across campus.

A note on summer programming:

Climate change is already causing significant impacts in Maryland, including higher average temperatures and more frequent and longer heatwaves. Because of this, and because of the serious impacts that high heat can have on human health, all programming during the months of June, July, and August will begin before 10am. This includes Arboretum-sponsored programs as well as program support for summer camps, tours, and demonstrations.
