Arbor Day
Celebrated on the first Wednesday in April, Maryland Arbor Day holds a promise for the future in its celebration of trees.
The University of Maryland Arboretum & Botanic Garden is hosting volunteers to support conservation along Campus Creek. We will be picking up tennis balls, cutting back invasive plants, and planting tree seedlings. Please meet behind Eppley, near the tennis courts at 10:30am on Saturday, Sept 12.
Gloves and tools will be provided, as well as insect repellent for ticks and poison ivy pre-contact solution. Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants and sturdy shoes.
Join us Friday afternoons to remove invasive plants and help our native flowers, grasses, shrubs, and trees!
No experience needed โ just show up ready to get your hands dirty (we provide gloves!) to help cultivate our living campus.
All Friday Flower Power Hours take place from 2pm - 3pm and occur on campus.
