Gardens

Our campus is filled with gardens that feature a wide variety of plants, trees, and shrubs. Many of these locations have been designated as pollinator gardens or native plant gardens, although these can be found throughout our landscaping. Search below to find the gardens close to you!

Topiary Testudo The pedestrian plaza East of Benjamin Hall and South of Cole Student Activity Center along Campus Drive is home to two landmarks, Topiary Testudo and the Veteran’s Memorial Flag Court.
Weber Memorial Garden Installed in the fall of 2018 on the south side of the Physical Sciences Complex, this garden honors the work of Professor Joseph Weber (1919-2000).
Entrance to Wooded Hillock Trail

Did you know there are wooded trails to hike on the University of Maryland’s campus? In the northwest corner of campus, across from the Terrapin Trail Garage, lies the Wooded Hillock, a natural area with rustic trails.
