Dr. Charles E. Sturtz Garden

Dr. Charles E. Sturtz Garden Dr. Charles E. Sturtz

Located in North Campus just beyond the Xfinity Center, you can find the Sturtz Garden sitting next to the Chesapeake Building. This garden is dedicated to the years of service of Dr. Charles E. Sturtz, Vice President for Administrative Affairs. Dr. Sturtz was awarded the President’s Medal in 2002 in honor of his sustained service and contribution to the quality of life on campus. The planting of this garden was meant to refurbish the area that had been devastated by the tornado on September 24, 2001. The lush trees of this garden provide ample shade for the sitting area which is the perfect spot to have a quiet moment and enjoy the greenery-and hopefully catch the blooming pink flowers in the spring and summer!
