The University of Maryland's campus was designated as a Bee Campus USA in 2023.
Maryland Bird Campus
Our entire College Park campus was designated as a High Flyer Bird Campus in 2024 by the Bird Conservation Network and Bird City Maryland.
ArbNet Level IV Accreditation
The University is a Level IV ArbNet Accredited Arboretum by The ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program and The Morton Arboretum.
Tree Campus Higher Education
Since 2008, the University has been a designation of Tree Campus USA, now called Tree Campus Higher Education.
Prince George's Audubon Certified Habitat
The Arboretum began a collaboration in 2023 with Epsilon Eta and the Prince George's Audubon Society to recognize its commitment to bird habitat on campus.
American Public Gardens Association
We are proud members of the American Public Gardens Association, supporting their work to bring awareness to the resources public gardens can offer.
Professional Grounds Management Society
We are proud members of the Professional Grounds Management Society, the oldest individual membership organization for grounds professionals.
International Society of Arboriculture
Our campus arborist is a Board Certified Master Arborist and six other staff hold certified arborist credentials from the International Society of Arboriculture.
