About the River Birch

A stone and plaque as well as three trees were dedicated to her and originally placed at the AV Williams building. These were moved to the Brendan Iribe Center for Computer Science and Engineering in 2019 due to construction. The stone now sits amongst a grove of Dura Heat® river birch, Betula nigra 'BNMTF' DURA-HEAT, situated northeast from the Iribe Center between the building and the Paint Branch Trail.
